Sōl Samadhi Yoga: Rest with Bananasana

Welcome to this nourishing Breathwork + Bananasana (Reclined Side Stretch) practice — a gentle yet powerful combination designed to calm the nervous system, release deep tension, and restore balance in both body and mind. In this session, we begin with slow, intentional breathwork to settle the mind, regulate the nervous system, and create space for deeper relaxation. We then move into Bananasana, a restorative yoga pose that offers a soothing side-body stretch while supporting rest and renewal. Benefits of Bananasana (Reclined Side Stretch) • Gently stretches the side body, ribs, hips, and shoulders • Improves lung capacity and breathing awareness • Supports digestion and organ function • Releases tension in the lower back and spine • Calms the mind and prepares the body for deep rest This practice is ideal if you’re feeling: • Overstimulated or stressed • Tight through the back, hips, or side body • In need of grounding, rest, or nervous system support Best time to practice: evening, before bed, or anytime you need to slow down Allow yourself to fully arrive, breathe deeply, and soften into stillness. If you enjoyed this practice, please like, subscribe, and share it with someone who could use a moment of rest. Sōl Samadhi on demand is filmed in the studio during face to face classes for a real life experience.
